How to grow sales with internet marketing: a map for businesses in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan today, buyers look up almost any product on their phone first: they browse Instagram, ask for prices on Telegram and find the address on Google or Yandex Maps. Internet marketing means being found at every step of that path. Here is what each channel is for and where a small business should start.
What internet marketing is made of
Internet marketing is not a single "run an ad" but several connected channels:
| Channel | Job | Especially good for |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram and SMM | Show the product, earn trust | Visual products, services |
| Paid ads | Attract new customers fast | Almost everyone |
| Telegram | Talk to customers, repeat sales | Education, retail, services |
| Google Ads and SEO | Capture people searching now | Urgent services, B2B |
| Google and Yandex Maps | Nearby customers | Offices, shops, clinics, cafés |
| Uzum Market | Online sales | Product sellers |
You don't need to launch everything at once. What matters is understanding where your customer makes the decision.
Key terms
- Lead — a potential customer who left a phone number or messaged you.
- CPL — cost per lead. More in our CPL guide.
- Conversion — the share of people who took the next step (clicked, messaged, bought).
- Funnel — the customer's path: saw → got interested → messaged → bought.
- Retargeting — showing ads again to people who visited your site or profile but didn't buy.
- LTV — how much money a customer brings over the whole relationship.
Where to start: 4 steps
1. Build a "home"
Ads have to lead somewhere: an Instagram profile, a Telegram channel or a website. It should show prices, examples of work, reviews and clear contacts. Advertising a page that doesn't inspire trust is wasted money.
2. Get on the maps
If you have an office or shop, create a business listing on Google and Yandex Maps: address, opening hours, phone, photos. It's free and brings customers from "… near me" searches.
3. Pick one main ad channel
Don't split a small budget across platforms. If your product sells by being shown — Meta (Instagram); if people search for you — Google. How to choose: Google Ads vs Meta Ads.
4. Turn leads into sales
Reply fast, write a call script and track customers in a spreadsheet or CRM. Many businesses lose money not in advertising but at exactly this stage.
Content: what to post
Four types of content sell on social media:
- Useful — tips, answers, "how to choose".
- Proof — reviews, before/after, numbers.
- Process — how the work is done, the team, production.
- Offer — price, promotion, discount, a clear call to action.
A page of nothing but offers looks like a notice board, and purely useful content doesn't sell. You need balance. For the first seconds of a Reel, see Reels hooks.
How to measure results
Every month, record at least:
- ad spend;
- number of leads and cost per lead (CPL);
- number of sales and lead-to-sale conversion;
- cost per customer and average order value.
Followers and likes are not sales on their own. Base decisions on numbers connected to sales.
Common mistakes
- "Being everywhere" without a strategy and spreading the budget thin.
- Replying to leads hours later.
- Running the same creative for months.
- Judging results by reach alone.
- Blindly copying competitors instead of finding your own offer.
Conclusion
Internet marketing grows sales when the channels work as a system: a trustworthy "home", a Maps listing, one well-tuned ad channel and fast lead handling. At Level Marketing we build exactly that system and show the results in sales figures every month — see our cases.
