Reels scripts: 5 ready-made templates

Most Reels are filmed without a script — "I'll just say something" — and that's why nobody finishes them. A script makes a video short, clear and persuasive. Here is the structure of a Reel that sells, plus 5 templates you can adapt to any business.

The structure of a Reel that sells

  1. Hook (1–3 seconds) — grab attention. Types of hooks are in our hooks article.
  2. The main part — a benefit, a story or a process.
  3. Proof — a result, a number or a review.
  4. Call to action — "DM us 'price'", "Save this".

One video, one idea. For a 30–45 second video, roughly 60–120 words is enough.

5 templates

1. Problem → solution → result

"Has your sofa sagged within a year? (hook) The cause is a cheap frame and foam. We use birch and high-density foam (solution). Our customer Dilshod has been using his sofa for 5 years (result). DM us for a price in your size."

2. "3 mistakes"

"3 mistakes people make preparing for IELTS. First… Second… Third… Save this and send it to a friend."

3. Before / after + process

"This kitchen looked like this after 3 days. Day 1 — removal, day 2 — installation, day 3 — the result. Message us to price your project."

4. Myth vs fact

"Myth: teeth whitening damages enamel. Fact: a properly performed procedure under a dentist's supervision… Book a consultation."

5. A customer's question

"A customer asked: 'Can I pay in instalments?' Answer: yes, up to 12 months with no down payment. Terms are in the 'Prices' highlight."

Script-writing rules

  • Write the way you speak — conversational, short sentences.
  • On-screen text: repeat the main point in large type.
  • Don't open with a greeting — get straight to the point.
  • Ask for one specific action at the end.

Connecting templates to your plan

Use each template several times a month on different topics, following the content types in our content plan article. For filming technique, see shooting Reels on a phone.

Conclusion

A script is the skeleton of a Reel: hook, value, proof and a call to action. Rotate the five templates, compare results and repeat the formats that work best.
